PREPaRE is a national school safety and crisis preparedness program that is ideal for schools that are committed to improving and strengthening their school safety, crisis management, and emergency response plans. There are two workshop options.
PREPaRE Workshop 1 is a one-day workshop that is ideal for anyone you would want to serve on your School Crisis Preparedness and Response Team. Individuals will gain a better understanding of the organization and function of a comprehensive safety and crisis team. This likely includes Administrators, Special Services Directors, School Psychologists, School Counselors, At-Risk Coordinators, Administrative and Support Staff, School Resource Officers, etc. To register, click on the date(s) below.

May 25 | Face to Face Workshop 1 (held at USD in Vermillion)
PREPaRE Workshop 2 is a two-day workshop that focuses on providing the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the mental health needs of students and staff in the aftermath of a crisis. This workshop is ideal for School Psychologists, School Counselors, Other Mental Health Support in your Building, School Resource Officers, Administrators, Special Services Directors, At-Risk Coordinators, etc.
April 8 & 9 | Virtual Workshop 2
May 26 & 27 | Face to Face Workshop 2 (held at USD in Vermillion)
An individual does NOT need to complete Workshop 1 to be eligible to complete Workshop 2.
The PREPaRE workshop is being brought to you by the University of South Dakota in partnership with the Department of Social Services through a SAMHSA disaster grant.
