Cooperating Teacher for Student Teacher/Mentoring Teacher Candidates
This course is designed to allow those teachers who accept the responsibility for mentoring a teacher candidate during their student teaching assignment to earn a graduate credit for their work. The course spans a fifteen week period with assignments each week on a variety of topics pertinent to the experience. Assignments range from journaling reflections to completing surveys and evaluation forms. In general, this is work you would normally do as part of a cooperating teacher's duties. Credit is earned through the University of South Dakota. A link to register for the graduate credit will be posted here as soon as approval has been secured from the Board of Regents.
