Dr. Naomi Ludeman
Dr. Naomi Ludeman is the Deputy Director of South Dakota Voices for Peace and founder and lead consultant of Impact Leadership Consulting Group, LLC. She is committed to incorporating intercultural learning with leadership development to activate people and organizations for positive change. She believes that by helping people develop their intercultural competencies and equipping them with research-based strategies and messaging, individuals and communities are able to identify and embrace the assets that diversity offers.
Naomi has trained C-suite executives, supervisors and managers, rural and agricultural innovators and leaders, customer service specialists, faith-leaders, community development stakeholders, entrepreneurial professionals, and international leaders. She has held key roles in community development organizations in rural and urban U.S., Ukraine and Jordan. In addition to her work as a consultant, Ludeman served as associate professor of Intercultural Studies for 30 years at Bethel University (St. Paul, MN). Active on the national and international stage, Naomi has been a keynote speaker, presenter and panelist at numerous forums. Her publications are found in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and a self-published book.
Dr. Ludeman holds a B.A. in Communication Studies, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Development, an M.A. in Global Studies, and a D.Min. in Global and Contextual Leadership from Bethel University and Seminary. In addition, she earned the Intercultural Foundations and the Intercultural Practitioner certificates from the Intercultural Communication Institute, where she also served as a Fellow. She is also an ordained minister with the Federation of Christian Ministry. In 2007, Naomi became a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory and the Intercultural Conflict Styles Inventory in 2012. She has worked with over 1500 individuals in their intercultural competency development, as well as published her research on the impact of its use. Naomi is also a Gallup trained facilitator of the Clifton StrengthsFinder.
